New NetBAY Advanced Connectivity Technology (ACT) is an alternative to current keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) solutions for rack servers. By using CAT5 cabling instead of bulky, KVM cables, this set of products is an innovative solution for setting up and monitoring multiple racks with multiple servers from one or more consoles. This powerful set of offerings can support virtually all IBM eServer xSeries servers, those with Cable Chaining Technology (C2T) as a standard feature, and those with traditional keyboard, video, and mouse ports. KVM Conversion Option (short KCO) converts KVM signals for CAT5 cabling for servers without cable management arms. These small profile cable assemblies with standard KVM connectors on one end and a pod assembly on the other end of the cable convert the legacy KVM signals to CAT5 signals.
